Student Wellbeing

School Social Worker

Social Workers play an important role in supporting students' academic, social-emotional and behavioural needs. They work collaboratively with the School Leadership Team, staff, caregivers, external agencies and students to provide a comprehensive support system. Our Social Worker engages with the school community, in both direct and indirect ways, addressing individual, group and systemic needs.

Melanie Rowe, our School Social Worker, is at the school on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Given the large size of our school, the involvement of the School Social Worker is determined by the Student Support Team based on school priorities. If you believe your child would benefit from their support, please reach out to your child's classroom teacher, who will follow up accordingly.

Speech and OT Services
Hendercare Therapy Services

HenderCare is a therapy services team offering Speech Therapy and Occupational Therapy onsite at St Peter’s Primary School, on Thursdays and Fridays.

These services are available to families accessing therapy privately or through the NDIS. In line with the school's current guidelines, onsite therapy is prioritised for students with identified additional needs, including those with a diagnosis, significant support needs, and an Individual Education Plan (IEP).

We look forward to working collaboratively with families and therapists to support student learning and wellbeing.

To enquire about therapy services, please complete the HenderCare Referral Form using the link below. Referrals will be reviewed by the school to determine eligibility for onsite therapy, and families will then be contacted regarding available support options and next steps.
