Trust Respect Unity Excellence #TRUE Religious Education Religious Education Religious Education at St Peter’s Primary school comprises two distinct but complementary dimensions – teaching religion as a curriculum area and developing the religious dimension of the school by nurturing the religious, spiritual and faith of our students. Religious Education is central to the curriculum and life of the school. It is taught in a context with the same systematic demands and rigour as all other learning areas and is sequenced to help children relate to the Catholic faith within their daily lives. The units of work are set by Catholic Education Western Australia and mandated by the Bishops of Western Australia. Religious Educations lessons are complemented by prayer, liturgical singing and class and whole school liturgies and prayer assemblies. Through Pastoral Care, we enhance the dignity of each person within our school community whilst maximising learning and growth. The pastoral care of St Peter’s Primary school children is of paramount importance and is a shared responsibility between the school and the home. Sacramental Programs The school assists parents in preparing their children for the Sacraments through Sacramental programmes which are family-focused, Parish-based and school-supported. Parent information sessions and parent/child workshops are held as part of the preparation for each sacrament. Children participate in Parish-based Sacramental programs in Year Three (Penance/ Reconciliation), Year Four (Eucharist) and Year Six (Confirmation). As the first faith educators of their children, our parents are an integral part of this preparation and are encouraged to be supportive and involved in the process.

Trust Respect Unity Excellence #TRUE Canteen Canteen St Peter’s Canteen is open FIVE days per week for both recess and lunch. Lunch Orders are to be ordered online before 8.45am and will then be sent up to the classrooms at lunch time. Recess snacks can be purchased online through QuickCliq – Tuesdays-Thursdays only and collected by your child from the Canteen at reces s. All other recess and lunchtime snacks are to be paid for by cash and are available for Years 1-6 only, as the child is required to come to the canteen. Canteen Menu (PP - Year 6) Kindy Kindy students can order fresh foods and toasted sandwiches from the Canteen – online through QuickCliq. The hot daily specials are not available to Kindy students. We encourage healthy eating The aim of the St Peter's canteen is to serve nutritional food and the menu is in line with the State Government regulations. I was fortunate enough to be appointed as the Principal at St Peter's Primary School for 2026. Previous to this position, I have been involved in leadership roles within Catholic Education Western Australia for over twenty-five years. St Peter's Primary School caters for students from Pre Kindy through to Year Six, in a unique environment, which offers opportunities for each child to develop emotionally, spiritually, socially, physically and cognitively. This is achieved by providing and coordinating educational activities through a whole school approach, which develops an awareness and understanding of concepts necessary for life and an educational experience within the Catholic faith. Our core mission is to inspire students to learn, achieve and serve with integrity. Our core values TRUE - Trust, Respect, Unity, Excellence - are central to our school’s philosophy. We aim to nurture each child’s unique abilities, providing an environment where they can flourish emotionally, spiritually, academically and socially.
