Congratulations to our 2nd Place Winners in the ‘Make You Own Story Book Competition’ for the Australian Children’s Book Council Western Australia!
Many congratulations to Isabelle Doyle and Josie McAllister from Year 6B, who were presented with 2nd place prize for their book ‘All that Matters To Me’ last weekend.
The Make Your Own Story book competition is a highly contested competition held annually by the Children’s Book Council Australia. The judges are looking for ‘the creation of an engaging and original story or picture book that satisfies the entry requirements.’
Our Co-ordinator of Literacy, Angela Seal, said, ‘it was an engrossing story that used descriptive and figurative language, written by people writing well beyond their age and experience. It was a wonderful story.’
