Current Arrangements for Term 2 – Weeks 1- 4
Dear Parents and Caregivers
CURRENT ARRANGEMENTS FOR TERM TWO – Weeks 1-4
Welcome back to Term Two.
Further to my correspondence last week (21 April), please find below further information to assist you during the next few weeks (Weeks 1-4).
For the families who will be returning to school tomorrow, I would like to advise that students will be placed in their respective cohorts and designated classrooms. Students will be supervised and supported by their year level Teachers and Education Assistants. (If your child/ren is attending school this week and you haven’t advised the office, please do so at your very earliest convenience – stpeters@cewa.edu.au)
As directed by the Premier of WA, parents and caregivers are not permitted on school property other than to drop-off and pick-up their children, at which time parents must not exit their vehicles. If parents and caregivers are walking their children to and from school, they must undertake their drop-off and pick-up at the designated gate.
As per my 21 April correspondence, I would like to re-confirm drop-off and pick-up arrangements commencing tomorrow:
Salisbury Street Drop-off/Pick-up Times
Kindy
Between 8.15-8.45 am (older siblings permitted to enter via Salisbury Street)
2.30pm (older siblings to be collected at this time)
Pre Primary
Between 8.15am and 8.30am (older siblings permitted to enter via Salisbury Street)
2.50pm (older siblings to be collected at this time)
Year 1
8.15am
3pm (older siblings to be collected from this zone)
Wood Street Drop-off/Pick-up Times
Years 2 – 6 8.15am – 3pm
For families who currently do not have a Dashboard Name Tag (surname), please create your own and place it on your dashboard when you are collecting your child/ren at the end of the day (please ensure it is large enough to be read by our Staff Members on duty – black marker pen in very large font).
If, for some reason, a student is anxious and reluctant to leave the vehicle, please advise the Staff Member on duty for further direction.
School Uniform – to assist students with getting back into routine:
* Kindy and PP students wear their regular school uniform.
* Years 1-5 students wear their Winter uniform (sports uniform on allocated Sports Day and white polo on Friday only).
* Year 6 students are able to wear their leavers’ tops every day to acknowledge this disruption during their final year (until further notice).
A reminder that there is no Canteen until Week 4 when the situation will be reassessed by CEWA.
Mrs Jenny Biancotti, our Social Worker, has uploaded information regarding On-Line Safety Tips – please click here.
As I have previously advised, our staff will continue to ensure we best support our students’ learning from home, as well as those students who may be at school, and staff will communicate weekly with all families.
I will keep you updated with any new information as it becomes available.
Stay Healthy, Stay Safe and Stay United!!
Kind regards
Mrs Pina Hutcheson
