St Peter’s hosted the annual Haydn Barber Interschool Chess Competitions over two days last week. With almost 200 students from various school around Perth, it was a very successful and a very busy event.

We entered 3 teams from St Peter’s in the ‘beginner’ division and were delighted by our teams’ sportsmanship and effort. All teams scored in the top 4 with our two Year 6 teams coming 1st and 2nd. We will go up a grade next year as a result! Congratulations to all the participating students and the School Chess Club members!

Many thanks to the St Peter’s Parish for allowing us the use of the hall, and the organisers Total Chess; Donna and Liam Love, we couldn’t have done it without you.
